Meron H. Kassa, MD

Dr. Meron H. Kassa is a board-certified internal medicine physician dedicated to providing thoughtful and patient-centered primary care for adults. She believes exceptional medical care begins with listening, building lasting relationships, and partnering with patients to achieve their health goals. Her practice emphasizes prevention, wellness, and personalized management of both acute and chronic medical conditions.

Dr. Kassa earned her bachelor's degree in neuroscience from Amherst College before receiving her medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. In recognition of her exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and compassionate patient care, she was inducted into both the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. These national honor societies recognize a select group of physicians who exemplify excellence in scholarship, clinical ability, professionalism, leadership, and compassionate patient care.

After medical school, Dr. Kassa completed her internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she trained in a Primary Care Track. At one of the nation's premier academic medical centers, she cared for patients with a wide range of complex medical conditions while developing a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to primary care. Her training reinforced the importance of treating each patient as a whole person and building trusting relationships that support lifelong health. She later completed additional advanced training in community primary care through the University of Cincinnati.

Before joining My Doctor, Dr. Kassa worked at The Christ Hospital Physicians where she cared for adults with a broad range of healthcare needs. She also served as Volunteer Assistant Professor at University of Cincinnati where she was actively involved in medical education, research, quality improvement, and community health initiatives. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her commitment to clinical excellence, professionalism, and service. Among these honors, she was selected as a Society of General Internal Medicine Young Scholar, a national distinction recognizing early-career physicians who demonstrate exceptional promise as future leaders in internal medicine.

At My Doctor, Dr. Kassa provides comprehensive primary care for adults, with a focus on preventive medicine, chronic health management, cardiovascular health, diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol management, anxiety, depression and helping patients achieve lifelong wellness. She values taking the time to understand each patient's goals, answer questions thoroughly, and develop individualized care plans that reflect their unique needs and priorities. The smaller practice setting at My Doctor allows her to build meaningful, long-term relationships with her patients while providing the enhanced accessibility, continuity, and personalized attention that are increasingly difficult to achieve in traditional primary care.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Kassa enjoys painting and spending time with family and friends. She considers it a privilege to care for her patients and is committed to helping each person feel heard, respected, and empowered to live their healthiest life.
